APPLICATIONS
The New Super Fish rafts are a new breed of rafts designed on the
international raft race circuit in response to the demand for a faster
more efficient raft. It was very apparent that the old style raft had
reached "maximum hull speed" and no amount of strong arms
were going to go any faster.
DESIGN PHILOSOPHY
Naturally the raft also needed to be able to handle white water.
To accomplish this ARK has used new patterning techniques to create
a truly streamlined raft and unlike the square cut traditional rafts, our boats continuous curves and tapered bow eliminate the plough effect
of the square rafts and glide smoothly across the water. This obviously
dramatically reduces the resistance and increases the speed of the raft
and lessens the burden on the paddlers. All this and the fact that the
raised and tapered bow will ride over a lot of the small holes and drops
easily The bailing system has also now has a series of "half holes"
with flaps to prevent resistance while still bailing efficiently.
